Mit "Dauerlutscher" (1977, CBS) wurden die STRASSENJUNGS Vorreiter der deutschen Punk- und New Wave-Szene und "heimliche Superseller" (Popcorn). 1977 war ein historisches Jahr: die RAF schlug zu, Elvis starb, die STRASSENJUNGS erfreuten mit den 13 unerreicht treffsicheren Hymnen, die irgendwo zwischen Deutschrock, Punk und New Wave das gerade neu aufkommende musikalische Lebensgefühl ihrer Zeit kongenial auf den Punkt brachten. Das bestechend kultige an diesem Album ist, dass hier die Geschichte einer "Punk-Partynacht" mit Witz und Ironie erzählt wird.
